Just wondering when one should look into breast lift/reduction? I'm a little over 5 months out. Thanks :)

No magic rule but you want to make sure you are close to goal and weight is stable for about 6 months. Once you hit your 1 yr mark start looking and do your consultation. Not all breast lifts are covered so keep that in mind. Start gathering your documentation for rases, skin problems, pain etc...  I had it done about 3 yr out and self paid.

Start talking to your doctor now, but I would wait until you are at goal to get it done for optimum results. I'm not sure how things are done there, but by the time I had gotten to goal, insurance would not pay for mine because I no longer needed a "reduction", only a "lift". To be classified as a "reduction", a certain amount of tissue had to be removed and I had none left

That's what I worry about.

Before I lost the weight, I probably would have qualified for an OHIP paid reduction.

Now, it is more of a lift, but I do have a consult booked on Dec 19. I have been stable at 160 for over 6 months now.

Lost 180.

So the 5 months out was 5 months from when you reached goal?
