just had my 6 month follow up with my GP

So had my 6 month follow up with my GP. I'm lower than my 2006 weight of 176 (post band). Had blood taken, curious to see those results.

found out I have low blood pressure 94/62...was told to eat more salt. I can totally do this! I'm a saltaholic! My hubby got me an assorted salt compilation for my birthday. I've always speculated with my mom that we are both saltaholics to combat naturally low blood pressure...now I'm convinced.

My husband didn't believe me when I told him I was told to eat more salt. lol

How wonderful. As much as I remind myself not to compare, your size and weight seems to be close to mine, although I'm 54 and 5'6. It's interesting to see your steady decline and as others may be frustrated by stalls or not feeling they are losing fast enough (completely understandable), your weight loss is constant and quite remarkable. At any other time in my life 10 lbs. loss per month would be great, yet we often don't feel satisfied with this after surgery. I'm just on my way and I know I will stall and have challenges, but to see how successful you have been in just 6 months are your dramatic reduction in weight as well as clothing size is inspiring. I wish you continued success.

* Right now my blood pressure is low as I lost some blood during surgery. Unfortunately, I can't do more salt and my husband wouldn't believe me if I told him I needed to increase my intake. I'd have to get a doctor's note - lol

Thanks! I have been very regimented with my diet (I follow a balanced macro plan) and I drink 3 litres of water a day and eat between 900-1050 calories a day. I also get in 10,000 or more steps each day.

Trust me I have had stalls. I get at least 2 per month and am on one right now. Im up 2 lbs. but I know at the end of the day I am still dropping. I don't sweat the stalls anymore, I am used to them now. I know now that I am overweight the weightloss will continue to slow and the stalls will get longer. That is the beauty of sites like this. You can follow others tickers and get a feel for what to expect. That is why I posted mine, I love it when I can see hat at least to have a rough gauge. I've done better than my expectations...so it is a good place to be.

I posted this last month to illustrate a typical month for me...

Your chart, with all the notations, is brilliant, lol! We must all feel the same when we see the scale move like this, lol. So glad I'm not alone :-).

You had the lap band? I have one....I have my surgeon appointment next week - then I can get my date. I can't wait to have it removed.

How much have you lost since having your band removed?

Yep I am a revision from a lap band. My Wl is all in my ticker below...month by month. I am currently .4lbs from my original goal of 170 (started at 260). I am revising my goal down as soon as I hit it (hopefully tomorrow). truthfully I wasn't expecting to hit it so fast.

I read it after I posted LOL

that's AMAZING! I have read all these things about people not losing as quickly after having a band or revision in general. I hope that's not the case for me. You give me hope!

It is possible if you stick with it. I have another friend with same stats to start and she was a revision the day after me. She has thyroid issues and she is still down 70 lbs.
