Got my Surgery Date!! Also Vitamins Question

Looks like TWH is into October now. I'm booked for surgery on October 6th! I know it'll go by fast, but I'm still pretty sad that I'll be waiting another 4 months. Guess I'll just work on my chewing and beverage habits some more in the mean time.

On a side note, does anyone know of a prenatal vitamin we can take instead of the multivitamin that's covered by insurance? Someone told me the name of one at orientation, but for the life of me I can't find the notebook where I wrote my notes from that day.

Hope you're all doing well!

Im just in the Beginning process of this ...but I think the vitamin you're asking about is Preg vit..its available prescription only. At least that what i took when pregnant with my son and needed prescription. Congrats on the date and GL it will happen before you know it

It seems the 4 mths wait is the "norm" this year.. :( Just when you are finally at the end.. and can't wait for it to end... you wait longer. lol .

Don't worry... it does go by quickly... I had to wait from end of feb...and won't have surgery until june 12th.... It's getting there.. the first couple of months went by quick.. but now that i'm into May... it's seemed to have slowed down..

It's good to plan alot of activities...so you focus on them more...and the time goes by quicker... :)

Congrats for getting this far.... it's not much longer now.

That makes sense. "A watched pot never boils," and all.

I've been thinking about making up some kind of calendar/chart I can use to set mini goals (like one week will be "practice chewing" week and another will be "recipe hunting" week) and to count down the days, so maybe that'll help.

I hope your last month starts going by faster! You're so close!

Hi Kaylar,

I think it was me that was in your orientation or nut class, anyways yes its Pregvit or Pregvit folic 5. There is some differences for the folic 5 one, but both should be covered under your insurance. I have my Family Dr ready to write me my prescription once i am past that initial phase of chewables right out of surgery. October will be here before you know it. I am going for surgery Aug 1st at the time i got my date I felt wow so far away, but were partway through May already, so time is going fast :) Best of luck on this journey!!

Oh hey! I think you're right. Thanks again for the info! I don't know what happened, but ever since I moved a few months ago I can't find my binder with my notes and the nutrition guide. Guess it's time to do some spring cleaning, haha. I'm pretty sure my family doctor will give me the prescription no problem, but I'll mention it ahead of time to be safe. Too bad they don't have a chewable version!

I'm glad the wait is going by fairly fast for you. Just one last hurdle!
