Hi all,

its been a while! I am three days shy of my 6 month surgiversary which is very exciting and down a total of 118 lbs thus far.

At just over 4 months out i learned i am pregnant - before you ask YES i was on birth control NO not the pill. Was using evra. Was advised to stop taking ulcer medication which i did. Two weeks later i found myself being rushed to the hospital and i have NO idea whats happening yo me - ceazy pin across my shoulders neck and chest, couldnt breathe, couldnt move - very scary, is my baby ok? Due to being pregnant the testing and meds they can give me is very limited. I survived an mri after my hisband helped me for 27 minutes to lay down and i screamed and cried the whole time... turns out my ulcer perforated. Not a fun three days in toronto western - but my baby is great

anyways ive indulged in my cravings and immediately threw up - totally not worth it. I lost 11 lbs after i found out im pregnant and am now stagnent at 213 which is fine

as of today i am 11 weeks pregnant baby is great heartbeat is strong and i feel good. I do still try hard to stay on track but getting protein in is tough as a lot of foods i have aversions too right now... i will continue my journey once the baby is born

keep up the great work all - will be engaged again in january once i continue my journey

Hi Starnaenae,

Wow, it sounds like the past 6 months have been a WILD ride for you!!!! First things first, I'm so relieved to read your baby (and you) are healthy. I don't need to tell you to keep it that way!!! Two: congratulations on your pregnancy!!! While the timing may not be ideal, a baby is always a blessing. How amazing. Three: congratulations on your weight loss so far!!!! Wow, more than 100 lbs in 6 months is outstanding.

You have SO much to be proud of. I'm excited for January when you'll be back and we can see pictures of your baby. In the meantime, be healthy!!

I'm so sorry to hear that you had to go through that painful experience with your ulcer. I'm relieved to hear you and baby are doing well!!

Other than that, you have done so well, you have a lot to be proud of!

I look forward to hearing of you progress of both baby and after.

May you and baby stay very healthy together.

Good luck with everything!

Amanda

Glad you are feeling better! Congratulations on your pregnancy! I was using Evra following surgery and I looked up that it is less effective for people who are over 198lbs....I immediately went to the doctor and I will be switching to an IUD (not my ideal choice, but I am only a month out from surgery)

Also congrats on the weight loss!!

Congratulations! What a blessing, to find out you're pregnant, and that you are both healthy and doing well after your ulcer perforation.
