NSV--CONFIDENCE
Today I had a huge non scale victory. I was invited to go to a meeting with the CEO of General Motors, Mary Barra.
Normally I would be really worried about something like this.... Will I fit in the seat... will I be able to be comfortable in the car...if we went to a restaurant would I fit in a booth... will everybody be looking at me... what could I wear???
Today I said screw it. I'm over 100 pounds down and I take up a bit less space now so everyone just going to have to put up with me:)
I wore a maxi skirt and a nice top and when the crew stopped for lunch at a diner, I ordered a toasted Western and just ate some of the egg and a little bit of rye toast.
I'm so glad I went. My usual MO would have been to make an excuse not to go.
I got to hear an amazing woman speak and enjoyed time with some of my co-workers outside of the plant. Only a select few from across the province were invited to go so I'm very flattered that my supervisors and plant manager have that kind of faith in me.
It was a really good day.
