Saxenda
Good morning all,
I was at my appointment with Wharton Medical Clinic the other day and the doctor prescribed me Saxenda. It's an injectable hormone that is taken once daily. I'm wondering if anyone else has been put on this medication and what results they have attained. Also, I know in the USA that there is a coupon card/ discount offered. Is there one here? I haven't found one (yet) as the cost is about $400.00/ month
My sister has been taking saxenda for about 6 weeks now. Her drug plan covers about 80% of the pens themselves.
She has lost around 20lbs, no coupon that we know of, however, if you sign up on their website they will set you up with a rebate for the needle tips.
My mom is also taking saxenda, her drug plan did not cover this, and at pharma plus the cost including dispensing was around $450. She had her doctor apply for prior drug authorization through her drug plan and it is now covered at 100%.
