Anyone know Dr Urbach at TWH
Hi all,
Im meeting Dr. Urbach for my meet the surgeon at TWH. I don't know if he will do my surgery...
Does anyone have any experience with him?
Also, do you know if who you meet at meet the surgeon is who performs your surgery?

Not sure if it is the same at TWH but at St Joe's in Hamilton you do not necessarily have the same surgeon that you meet with during the consult/signing consent. All of the surgeons in the Ontario Bariatric Network are amazing so you will be in good hands regardless of the location or specific surgeon.

I met a Dr Kelly at my meet the surgeon appt... but he told me Dr Urbach would be my surgeon...and he was.... He's a great surgeon... very nice and knowledgable....
I would have met Dr Urbach at my meet the surgeon..but he went home sick that day...lol

YAY! I'm so happy to hear that you have a meet the surgeon booked!!!
At TWH it isn't always the surgeon you meet that does your surgery. They work as a team so it can be any of them. I had different ones, but I also got a cancellation so that may have added to that.
I can tell you that I've heard great things about all of the surgeons at TWH :)

Thats good to know about all the docs being good. I've heard concerns about docs at other centres. Glad to know that's not the case at TWH. It's been such a great experience so far!!

Yes, I got bumped up from October 27 to my Aug 11 appointment.
I called every week, 2-3 times a week since June. This one has been the hardest to move up for sure... but I finally got the good news yesterday!!
