What are you eating/doing today (Monday)?

Good morning,

I'm doing the meat challenge and will try to post on both - just figured out the copy and paste on this site.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I got the grass cut early Saturday before the rain and tackled the family room so my oldest can inherit it through the winter months. Lots of cleaning, throwing out and giving away. Why, if cleansing and decluttering makes me feel so good, do I avoid it so much? I have committed to one hour of work a night when I get home - inside or outside weather permitting - whether I'm tired or not.

B - protein shake and black decaf.

S - Piller's turkey bite

L - 3 oz. crab meat with 1 tbsp. low fat mayo

S - Armstrong cheese stick

D - Grilled chicken breast and a hard boiled egg (if I can do the egg)

S - Plain Skyr on its own - a bit tart, but it has to be eaten.

Calories: 746, Protein: 101, Carbs: 26. All water and vitamins.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Question... When did you all start drinking coffee again?

I love my half caf cappuccino, In fact I can drink it without sugar.

I think I started about two months after surgery. I still drink a lot of water and clear tea, and the odd caffeinated coffee when decaf. isn't available. I have drunk my coffee black and my tea clear since my early twenties so no milk and sugar are good for me.

They serve you coffee on your tray the day after surgery at some hospitals. I have been drinking coffee again since day 1.

I put sf syrup in my skyr yogurt. Helps to cut the tartness.

Same with me and coffee. Decaf since a week after surgery. Once in awhile I'll have caffeine too now.

I'm also doing the challenge but not officially on the site.

Hey Linda...how do you copy and paste? I've tried before, and failed lol When I do my updates, I hate writing two different ones for this and the VSG forum.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Amanda

Thanks Ginny.

Like I said to Linda, I believe I have tried to do it that way before, but will try again the next time I need to double post.

Thanks again.

Good morning Amanda,

I saw your post last night, but had to come in this morning and re-do it on my computer to make sure I gave you the right direction - lol.

I typed in my post and before I submitted it, blocked all text, right-clicked and pressed copy. When I went to the RNY site, I pressed post reply, right-clicked again, and pressed paste.

I think I may have done it differently yesterday, but it does work this way.

I'm enjoying the challenge so far, am getting enough to eat, and feel energized. Other than craving a Dad's cookie with my tea last night - which is a no-no anyways, but I allow it from time to time - I'm completely satisfied with my menu. My first goal is 175 and I was hoping to reach this by 7 months (22nd), so I will have the first week under my belt and will be thankful for whatever the scale says. Not too many comments when I lost the first 50, but now that I am down almost another 40, people are noticing and it's both pleasing and embarrassing. I hadn't been to church much in the summer due to camping, and too many noticed at about the same time. I grabbed my husband's hand and got out quickly. A wonderful problem to have!

Enjoy your day and let me know if it works.

Linda
