I think I'm a big chicken

Omg I'm starting to chicken out on my orientation Nov.27/17. Did anyone else feel like this ? How do I keep from chickening out lol. Sometimes I think being over weights not so bad. Then I climb the stairs and I realize it actually is.

I would go and check it out, you don't need to commit to anything that day. Take a friend or family member with you so they can hear all the info as well. Best decision I ever made!

good luck!

Awwww, yeah... it's a huge step, and orientation is when it starts to feel real for most of us. Honestly, until you're on the operating table, you can change your mind at any time. You're in complete control.

It's such a long process, if you back out now, will you regret not going through discovery? Only you know. Do what's right for you. I am 2.5 months out, down almost 50 lbs, and so so happy I did this. :)

Driving in the city can be stressful for people who aren't used to it... when I was in the hospital for my surgery, one of my good friends who also has anxiety driving in the city braved it to come see me. I was a bit worried because it can be confusing.

Give yourself plenty of time. She figured it out. You will too. And I was so pleased to have her company!

The first time is the hardest. It's all smooth sailing after that; you'll be a pro in no time. And the surgery will be so worth it. :)

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. Choose happy.

Everyone is different.

For me as soon as I found out that it could even be a possibility for me, I was 110% committed with no doubts or regrets. I am almost 2 months out and I am extremely happy that this has happened to me.

But take it a step at a time if it suits you and keep an open mind.

I remember you at orientation... you were also nervous if I remember correctly!!

I think it's normal to be nervous. To be emotional. It's a big step. It's a lonely, scary experience of a bunch of us in a room together.

Ms Coffee, you got through it with flying colours. GrannyT, you will too. :)
