My impatient a** finally got a surgeon appointment! December 5th :) it?s with Amy Neville at the Ottawa Weight Managment Clinic.

Pointless post, but I?m super excited!

I bought optifast off someone on the forums a couple months ago who couldn't handle the shakes. Will the surgeon be okay with that?

Congratulations; that's exciting news.

As long as the Opti you bought is not expired and is the same Opti that you need (I was given the Opti 900) there shouldn't be a problem. You'll find out how many weeks worth you'll need at your appointment.

Pre-Op Visit: Jan. 10, 2017, weight 304, surgeon: Dr. David Lindsay, St. Joe's, Toronto

1st Day of (3 weeks worth of) Optifast: Jan. 11, 2017

Surgery Date: Feb. 1st, 2017

I was not a fast loser but who cares as long as you get there! I know the newbies check the trackers and the signatures so although I kind of lost track of how the rest of the weight came off, you should know that it was not fast and furious but it was slow and steady!

current BMI 24.7 that, my friends, is NORMAL!!! Strong is the new pretty!

I am excited for you Lina! That should be fine if you got the shakes from someone else. Check the expirey date to be sure. I dont think they care where you get it. They care that you stick to it.

Congrats again
