Psyched about psych Appointment and new developments!

So I had my first in person Appointment today because I found out at the end of last week that Telehealth had cancelled my appointment because they couldn't find a site but didn't inform me. I freaked and tearfully called and left messages at the clinic and when they called back I discovered that my appointment was still available. As it was my day off today I made the trek into the city. Left home at 5:30!! I didn't need to leave that early but I took the GO train and half the time there are delays. While I was at the hospital I figured why not ask about moving my Dietitian appointment from mid February! Well, I got an appointment for tomorrow morning at 8:30. Nervous but so excited. Kinda wish I'd been making the trek all along. Up early again tomorrow.

Psych appointment was great. No issues, the hour long appointment lasted about a half hour. Just lots of questions and she was pleased with my progress with what I've been working on. She was very kind and encouraging.

She did say that TWH is still backlogged but they are hoping with the new fiscal year to move things along. And the option of transferring to Guelph is still available.

That's great, Karen! So glad it all worked out. Are you thinking about transferring to Guelph?

I honestly don't know Kathy. If it's a difference of a number of months in the wait time then I'll definitely consider it. It's probably an hour's drive further so it would depend on figuring things out for the kids, etc...

I just don't know if I can wait another 6 - 8 months which seems to be the timeline right now. I think I'll go insane with waiting and worrying!!

There's always the option to go on a cancellation list once you meet with/are about to meet with the surgeon. I can help you with that when the time comes.

If TWH is your preference, stay there, set your intention for when you want surgery by, and believe it will happen. :)

I'm so glad your Psych appointment went well, and that you were able to move your Nutritionist appointment up to tomorrow morning! Although two 5:30AM starts sounds brutal, haha!

I am also going in for my Nut appointment at 8:30AM tomorrow, maybe we will run into one another!

I'm sure we will! I arrived at the hospital this morning at 7:30. Got my exercise by walking from the Subway station. Likely I'll be there tomorrow around the same time if you'd like to meet.

I just got a call from the Nutritionist, she has asked if she can push me back to 9:30, so I probably won't be in that early ...but maybe I will catch you as you leave and I come in!
