Nutrition classes or similar (Pre-Op)

I've seen people refer to nutrition classes they attended before they had their surgery. Does this happen at every centre? I've seen no mention of these type of classes in Sudbury and I wanted to know if its something I should be chasing up.

Is it just the foods you should have at each stage after your surgery? How to cook for the long term with your pouch etc or am I totally off the wall and imagining things (this isn't as unlikely as it should be lol)

I've had two sessions one on one with the Nutritionist and this Friday I actually have a pre-surgery nutrition class.

The one on ones went over any allergies and the nutritional deficiencies that were revealed by my bloodwork. At that point, I was put on an eating plan and I got started.

The second one on one was a follow up to see how I was doing and if I needed help with anything.

The nutrition class, which I am attending on Friday, I believe is going to prepare me for eating after surgery. What to eat, timing, how much, etc. etc.

I don't think they do these in Sudbury. Such a shame.

They did a pre op and post op nutrition class during my orientation. I think they do this to reduce the amount of travel for those who are far away.

They didn't mention it to me or the 3 others I kept in touch with from orientation. I think it's have been useful but I don't want to ask about it now in case it delays me!
