MyFitnessPal versus Fitbit

I have noticed a lot of recommendations for logging food in MyFitnessPal. Does anyone use the FitBit app to log food? Is MyFitnessPal really that much better? If so, why?

I use Fitbit. I like it better than fitnesspal.

I find myfitnesspal easy to use. Love the scanning ability when out

I use MyFitnessPal probably because I am used to it! Seriously I do find MFP more intuitive that the fitbit app and although I LOVE my fitbit the food app is a little less user friendly. In my humble opinion....

I know the newbies check the trackers and the signatures so although I kind of lost track of how the rest of the weight came off, you should know that it was not fast and furious but it was slow and steady!

current BMI 24.7 that, my friends, is NORMAL!!! Strong is the new pretty!

Oh my!! I had always used My Fitness Pal and had my fitbit monitor and scale kind of synched to it. I didn't realize Fitbit had it's own fool logging! Thanks for this!

Mfp can connect to any other apps. It is very generic and independent of any tracking devices. I have Fitbit - but I still use MFP for tracking food when I do it. Who knows - one day I may decide to use Garmin instead of Fitbit to track my movement. I can then easily switch while keeping my food diary.

I use both. FitBit tracks my steps, but I enter everything - food, weight, exercise, water - though MFP. I've got it set up so they talk to each other and share data.

Mostly because I prefer the MFP interface for food journalling. But at the end of the day, the data is captured in both spots.

I use one called Baritastic it is formulated for people who have had WLS. I like it and find it very easy to use.
