Boiled water

I am sharing this for anyone who is struggling with water intake.

I am 7 weeks post op and I was struggling getting my 6 to 8 cups of water in. I was lucky if I got in 3 or 4. Just enough to stay hydrated. With every sip it felt like I had a air bubble fighting the water in my esophagus. I tried all types of bottles and flavors but nothing made a difference. I tried it all desperately.

Then a wonderfully amazing lady here on the forums told me she heard about boiling water before you drink it. It works! I boil 4 bottles of water every night and them chill in the refrig over night. It has made a huge difference in my fluid intake. Maybe because when you boil water it removes the minerals and makes it sof****er from hard.

The outcome is amazing. I am now drinking 6 to 8 cups a day. Thank you lady!

I wonder if that's similar to having a newborn sort of thing. For newborn's we boil the water to sterilize it before making their formula or use distilled water. I would imagine it's somewhat the same sort of idea for our "new" stomachs (easier to digest). I wonder if distilled water would do the same?
