I don't know how, but I fit into a size 14 suit type dressy jacket. I am dumbfounded.

I hadn't planned on buying anything new for a while. I was going to root through Value Village etc. to fill in the gaps until I was closer to where I wanted to be.

Today I had a meeting in a ladies' clothing store and they had REALLY nice stuff. As I was drooling over these beautiful clothes, the sales lady pulled this jacket off the rack and said try this on, it will look great on you.

I immediately asked what size she had pulled out and she said, Size 14. I laughed out loud and said "I don't think so". She said, I'm sure it will fit just try it. And I did, and she was right - IT FIT. It also looked great. So.....I BOUGHT IT! LOL

I can't wait to wear it to work tomorrow.

This is the first piece of clothing I have bought in a regular store (not plus size) in 15 years.

I can't believe it fit and I can't believe I am going to start looking smartly dressed and stylish again.

Was having this surgery the "right" decision? You betcha. It may be hard at times and it definitely has its ups and downs, but I wouldn't change anything.

Looking forward to size 12. LOL

Yahhooooo!!! That's awesome!!!

I tried on a pair of size 14 jeans the other day... I have them in my drawer, and I thought "no way". I couldn't believe I could get them on, and done up!! They were tight... like "push my muffin top up" tight. I'm not quite ready to wear them, but shockingly close. Crazy, considering 5 months ago I was wearing a 26 cause my 24's were uncomfortable.

That must have felt sooo good! Shopping for new clothes is something I look forward too. But I'm also planning to try to piece together some stuff from Value Village for as long as I can. Shopping at a normal size store, what a nice victory for you.
