I got me surgery date!

Went for my trio app with the nurse, nutritionist, and SW today and was approved to move forward. I called the surgeon's office right away and was given a surgery date of Mar 19! Thanks to everyone for your advice and sharing your experiences, it has been so so helpful!

Yeah!!! Congrats you must be so excited. How did you meet the internist before the trio appointment. Also, my trio is coming up, do you know who gives you the last 2 appointments with the pschologist and the one on one with dietitian?

Jenprince.. you will generally get your last 2 appts for the rest when you are done with the first 3.... but you can always ask at desk when you go in for your first appts and see if they can book them then.

they can give them to you yes... I got mine from the nurse when I finished her appt.. but I see you have her last in your list.... so if you go to desk..you may be able to book them before you get to her...

Every hospital does things a little different. After my trio, the only appts are with my surgeon and the pre-op at the hospital, I don't need to see the nutritionist again or the psychiatrist. The only time Humber sends you for more is if they feel you need more time or info.
I got into the internist after months of trying to call for an appt. I called one day and she said they had a cancellation and asked if I could go that afternoon.

Good to know. At Toronto West, you need to see a psychologist or psychiatrist for a 1 hour session.
