I came home yesterday they checked my blood work at 6am surgeon was in by 9 and it was okay you can g home today. Same for my roommate.

Had surgery at 2 and wasn't out of recovery until 6:30 typically for me surgery took longer than expected but at least I was last of day.

UnlikeSt. Mike's TWH wants you sipping as soon as you can so my poor husband stuck around till 10 plying me with little cups of water i was supposed to have 1 every 15 minutes I felt really bad for him as hed decided to make the 2 hour drive home then had to wake him up at 9:30 to come and get me.

Long trip home started thinking i''d made the wrong decision as pain level was really high but after sleeping 12 hours starting to feel better. Problem was city hospital really noisy the room was above emergency. So was woken every time an ambulance came in.

Pain management was same as St Mike's you had to ask for it and choics were oxycodone or Tylenol was sent home with hydromorphone 2 days I've been finding a heating pad helps too .

This too shall pass

Wow! There's no way I could have come out of the hospital yesterday...I am still weak and light headed. My blood pressure is down to 94/56 so that's not helping. Having trouble getting all the liquid in but doing my best. They had me up and out today though....waiting for my ride to head home. Not looking forward to the 2 hour drive. Hope you heal well!!

Congratulations on a successful surgery. I don't imagine they sent you home too soon. :)

The pain will get better every day. For now, try to stay ahead of it. It's better to nip it in the bud just before you have it, than to try to make it go away.

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. Choose happy.
