Plastic Surgery in Cuba - compression garments
Hi Everyone
Its been a long time since I posted - I am now just over a year post op (Jan 23rd was my 1 year)
I am now looking into plastic surgery in Havana Cuba - at the Clinic Garcia - in fact I may be going as soon as April 1st :)
My question is - I have to buy compression garments - and was told to buy them online - but with all the choices etc it makes my head spin
Do any of you have any recommendations for sites to buy these through? Alternatively I live in Toronto so if there is a store someplace I could go in to that would be great too!
If any of you have gone for surgery at this clinic I would love to hear from you too.

What are you getting done? Tummy tuck require one kind, arms another, thighs another, etc. Does the clinic give you even one when you get it done or you have to bring it with you? If they give you even one then when you see it, you could make sure to get something similar.
My clinic is recommending that I bring it with me - because they do sell them there - but they said the selection is limited.
I am having abdominoplasty and arm lift - and I am hoping to get gynecomastia done at the same time

what kind of prices do they have for plastic surgery there.. I was considering that too.. but couldn't find anything on them?? do they have a website??

I went through a company in Quebec called HSI - Health Services International -
I paid them 500$ CAD to represent me for 5 years -so I can go to Cuba as many times as I want in the 5 years and they will coordinate if for me - for no extra costs.

The prices for the surgery are quite good - for abdominoplasty and arm lift its 2725$ CUC which is the same as USD - this is what was quoted for myself after they looked at pictures etc
here are some general quotes that I got - but keep in mind this is if you were to do each one seperately - because each price includes clinic stay and care etc...
Abdominoplasty : 2 150 CUC
Breast Lift : 1 630 CUC
Arm Dermolipectomy : 2 100 CUC
Thigh Dermolipectomy : 1 100 CUC
I know 2 people that have used them - and have had no issues at all - and highly recommend

Hmm.. definitely a thought to have surgery there.. I already go to cuba yearly...sometimes twice a year.... Thanks for info.. will definitely be looking into it... but please let us know how it goes... :)

Abdominoplasty you wear an abdominal binder. Mine was very high up the stomach to just under the breast and arms is a called a bingo bashed. Gynecomastia, I would think you need something like a binder but for the chest area. I got my compression garments from my plastic surgeon so not sure where you can buy them. Here is a really good site to show you what they should look like. It's out of the UK but at least gives you an idea of what they call each piece and what they should look like. If you are having all 3 at once, you may even be able to just buy one of the ones that is almost like a body suit since it would keep all 3 areas tight. Hopefully someone can chime in with locations locally to buy them from.
