What are you eating/doing today (Monday)?

Good morning all,

Spring is close by and it is still cold - but love the sun. I think it's coming and I think we're done with snow, but who knows. I think we could all use sun and warmth in the coming days.

My goal was to sell my business, but the building has been sold to a developer who plans on using the space for his construction crew while building across the street. It wasn't how I thought it would go, but I have decided to close anyways on April 27th. I may have two other jobs still to complete and the new owner has been good enough to extend my lease until the end of May if required. I may also have a job as of June 8th (after the election) or take the summer off - which wouldn't be a terrible thing. Elyse is getting married in New Brunswick at the end of July, so at least I know where I'll be for two weeks. Hugh and I are also hoping to go to Tennessee when I close at the end of April, which I am really looking forward to. I told him we'd hike in the Smoky Mountains each day, go white water rafting, and walk all around Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. He told me he'd be busy in his "nothing box". I'll pack his running shoes - lol.

I hope everyone is well and that things are progressing well for you Megs.

B - protein shake with streams of black decaf.

L - chicken breast with 1 oz. mozzarella and 1 tbsp. Tzatziki

S - Liberty plain greek yogurt with fresh strawberries (3/4 cup)

D - Homemade chili

All vitamins and water. Didn't check in with MFP, but I know my numbers are good.

Enjoy your day.

I have a really dumb question....are we only supposed to drink decaf coffee forever? and if so why?

Aren't nearly as many options available and I'm limiting myself to 1 cup a day.

Not dumb at all. I was told by the dietician that caffeine is dehydrating and as we are trying to remain hydrated and up our water intake, decaf. coffee appears to be the better choice. Some WLS patients I know who are up to 7 years out say they drink both. I try to keep to decaf. and plan to do so for quite sometime. If someone gets me a coffee, I will never say no so I do have the occasional fully charged one. I also find it makes me more jittery - as does black tea and sometimes upsets my stomach. Water is always best, which I tend to switch to in the afternoons to get it all in.

Limiting to just one cup a day ... not possible! (lol).

Hi Michelle, Humber says after 3 months you can have one or two regular coffees a day as long as you are meeting your water requirements.
