hey everyone. I'm almost 5 months post op. I am allergic to grass and ragweed. Does anyone know if we absorb reactine post op? Have you taken it? Was it effective?

thanks!

I've taken benadryl with no issues and it did the job. I can't speak to Reactine. Hope you get your answer. :)

I've had reactine with no problems post op but find that Flonase works better. And...one less pill to take!

I haven't tried it yet but the nurse said it may not be as effective. I am guessing because it's effective over 24 hours it may be a problem. I have horrible allergies and actually get prescription strength reactine(double the dose) so am hoping that works. However my doctor also prescribes Avamys and an eye drop so these will take over if not. I found Avamys to have way less nasal drip and after taste then Flonase I couldn't use Flonase because of the aftertaste and it running down my throat, you could ask for Avamys if reactine doesn't work.

I have really bad allergies, and I take Reactine. It works just as well as it did pre-op.

Hope you feel better soon!
