Celebrated!
Hello All!
I celebrated my 60th birthday on Saturday April 21st! There was a point after my surgery in 2007 that I honestly didn't think I was going to make it to 60. With all my surgery complications and being in hospital for a year following my surgery, Saturday really was a big celebration for me!
After all the crap, I am down about 200lbs. Feeling the best I have felt in years and am doing pretty well. I was even up dancing at my birthday celebration! Honestly didn't think that would ever happen for me.
Sometimes life takes some twists and turns. Having WLS can be very life changing. Some of us get the easier road and some of us get the twists and turns but ultimately, this surgery can give us back a better life. Make sure whatever happens for you, you make it work!
We are having a meeting this Saturday April 28th. We have the Community room in Fortinos at Appleby Line and Dundas at 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. That is Burlington. All pre-op and post-op WLS people are invited to join us. I look forward to seeing the usuals and am very happy to welcome some new people! See you Saturday!
