Hi all,

This is just a quick update ... I had my follow up with the sleep specialist today. It turns out my RLS/PLMD is almost certainly caused by iron deficiency. My Ferritin was 22 on February 8th. When I did the blood work for him on April 18th, it had dropped to 10! I'm pre-op WLS and 5 years post-op hysterectomy. I have no idea why it would have dropped so much in 2 months. Still, I am relieved to know "why." I have been taking FeraMax for almost three weeks now and last night was the first decent night's sleep I have had in months. Thanks for all your support, input and advice. I have my fingers crossed that it continues.

Sometimes you just wonder, a couple of years ago my Mom went in for some cardiac testing as she'd been really tired and short of breath, instead they found her iron levels almost non existent and ended up having to do a blood transfusion, still no idea why it happened, but they now check on a regular basis.
