Ulcers and dry heaving

So for a week I had constant nausea and dry heaving. I eventually went to the emergency room on sunday and was released yesterday. They did a scope and found that I had small ulcers and prescribed me medication to help treat them. They wanna do a scope again in 6-8 weeks.

The issue is i can't even take the medication I need to take. I took the first does just now and was left dry heaving for almost 20 minutes. My abdomen hurts and I have no idea how i'll do this for 6-8 weeks. Idk if this continues i will call my clinic tomorrow. I'm only around week 4 and I already feel defeated. I don't know where to go from here, they did say if the ulcers didn't heal they woud take other measures which i have no idea what that means.

I don't wanna get ahead of myself but I have heard of surgeons deciding to turn a rny into a sleeve because of ulcer issues.

Itll get better. I suggest gping backto just fluids for a few days avoid coffee if you drink it too. Ive had an ilcer for a year. Take 8 pills a day. Im waiting on a rescope. It hasnt been done because i got pregnant.

Surgery is LAST resort. Theyll try other meds diet changes before surgery. It will get better

I'm not a coffee drinker, and I'm only 4 weeks out. I ended up in the emergency cause I can't even keep water down and was just released yesterday. Now I can't even take the medication that is supposed to help me

I was 2 months out when i was diagnosed. Im surprised they released you if youre not keeping anything down. Did you go to the hospital where you had your surgery??

I went to the same hospital where they did my surgey. In the hospital I actually thought I was improving. I could have water, juice and borth with no issue. Now it seems worse then before =/

Go back. You dont want to get dehydrated. Could be a stricture

Did they give you Sulcrate? It coats the pouch. I believe you can get it in liquid form.

Yes they did give me that and I think it only comes in liquid form. That's the one I'm struggling with the most

Take the dose in small sips. Think of coating your mouth and then slowly swallow with saliva. Wait a bit and take some more. I know this is very hard. I know someone from OH that also had similar problems, but eventually she was able to take the dose. If they need to, they can give you ulcer meds via IV. Sending you big hugs.

I feel defeated, i'm taking all the medicine in the doses they said too. They said 5ml 4 times a day and even just the 5ml is too much. My stomach hurts from all the dry heaving.
