Hey everyone,

I have my 3 month follow up next week with the nut and am wondering what I'm supposed to bring. At the one month appointment they said to bring the vitamin bottles but nothing about a good journal.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Karen

Hi Karen,

At my 3 month follow up, I took all my medications that I was currently taking at that time from my family doctor, a list of questions I wanted to ask, and also my food journal, as I was asked what foods I was eating & the portion sizes I was consuming , I also use the my fitness pal app which is great, hope this helps you.

Thanks Sandra,

Since I've been back to work I've been lax about logging my food so I'll get on that to have a record.

Thanks!

Keeping a food journal, even for a week or so leading up to the appointment really helps them to see what you've been doing so that if there is any area of concern they can address it.
Otherwise, your vitamin bottles so they can ensure they are all sufficient, especially since they will have your bloodwork results to look at along with it.

I was told either vitamin bottles or picture of label so they know whats in them, (probably easier than carrying all the bottles), my 3 month follow up is at the end of the month and I've been trying to get a handle on how long the appt will be, they did a class at the 1 month, but I think this is just 1 on 1?

I find their scheduling weird anyhow. Your surgery was 3 weeks before mine yet my 3 month follow up is weeks ahead of yours. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. My appointment Tuesday is to see the nut then mid July I have a 3 month with the nurse. Yes, these are 1 on 1 appointments.

I'm lucky that so far they are landing on my days off. I wonder if they can be done via telehealth instead of making the trek to the city?

I was sort of given to understand they wanted me there, I actually had my one month follow up exactly 4 weeks after my surgery, it was originally supposed to be 6 weeks after but I had cardiac testing booked on that date so they rescheduled. Currently I've only got the one appt scheduled and will supposedly see everyone on that day For my 6 month I'm doing telehealth for 2 appointments but going down for a third. I live in Lindsay so usually ends up being a full day off for me too.
