Revision on 09/24/18

Hello everyone!

I'll be having my sleeve revision to rny on the 24th and I'm just finishing day 5 of Optifast. In addition to the shakes I try to get in 2.5 - 3 litres of water per day plus I usually have one or two cups of broth as directed. Unfortunately, I have yet to lose any weight. Not even a percentage of a pound. I'm going to call the clinic on Monday, but until then, does anybody have any words of advice or support? ?

It may be as simple as you just haven't entered ketosis yet.

I'm also thinking that perhaps you don't get the big weight loss when you've already lost some previously via the sleeve. Maybe you won't see a dramatic loss. Hang in there. I'm sure you will get some movement.

I don't think the point of Opti is for weight loss. It's to shrink your liver and make your surgery safer. Trust that you are doing what you need to for a successful surgery and that the weight loss will come in time. Good luck! I am starting Opti on Monday.
