Reflections on new milestone

Hi all,

Just wanted to post something today in celebration of losing 100 pounds since surgery. My total weight loss is 130 pounds, 120 since Optifast. I'm just over 6 months out and pretty pleased with my progress. I do find it is getting harder as my restriction is a little less and I don't want to slip backwards.

What a journey this has been. I have to say, as has been said many times before, I wish I had done this sooner. All the years I beat myself up for not losing weight which just led to more overeating to sooth feelings. This is an incredible opportunity I have been blessed with and I want to make the very best of it. So happy to be living life instead of watching everyone else live.

To all the newbies.....listen to the veterans. There are some wise people who have lost so much weight. They know what they are talking about. Thank you to all the great advice people have given on here. It is a great supportive place to gain knowledge.

I still want to lose another 100 pounds but my NUT kinda of scoffed at that. We shall see. I will keep trucking alone and hope to show her it can be done.

Looks like you're doing fabulous, it's funny how once you've lost the 80% of excess weight they're like you're good don't need to lose more, but the goal isn't to be a thinner overweight person, we'd all like to not be overweight at all anymore. I'm find it's getting a lot harder now, but I'm still hopeful to at least get down to my initial goal, then we'll see after that, I want to able to shop in "regular" stores and not have to look for 16-18 sizes, much better than where I started but?
