Is plastic surgery something I should start saving for now??

I understand everybody is different but do most people need to have plastic surgery due to loose skin after weight loss surgery??

So many factors affect the results of weight loss on a person, and plastic surgery is very much a personal choice. Can you be happy in your own skin? Age, the amount of weight you lose, where you carried your weight will all have a bearing on loose skin.

I've lost over 100 lbs. I have bat wings, and my boobs could be put back where they belong and yeah maybe some stomach flab could be removed but honestly, I have other things to spend my money on that are in my opinion far more important than my vanity.

Plastics is not cheap so if you think it's something you are going to want to pursue then yes, I would start saving now.

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!

Start saving now. I found plastics addicting. Once you start another area stands out. I am wearing my sports car. I dont regret any of it

Anyone open to sharing how much procedures cost in Ontario?

I would think the skin removal, tummy tuck and brachioplasty are the most common.

hi Melly I am 3.5 years out. About a year ago I consulted with a plastic surgeon recommended to me by my family doctor. He was really nice. I got an estimate of all the work I wanted done (arm lift, tummy tuck and thigh sculpting). The quote for everything was $16K so my husband and I are trying to save. So yes I would start saving now. If I had to pick just one surgery to have, it would be getting my arms done. I hate my huge bat wings. Everything else can be covered up. Once I do get my arms done I will for sure be rocking out in sleeveless tops. hehe

Thank you for the information on cost. $16K is actually less then what I thought it would cost.. but still a big chunk of change for me so I think I will start saving. Hopefully you are able to do your before next summer!!

I'm having an abdominal plasty and bilateral breast reduction in January with Dr Chivers. Just shy of $12,000.

It will definitely be a personal choice but it never hurts to save money right!

If you decide not to do any plastic surgery you will have enough for a couple very nice vacations
