That's awesome, good for you. Let us know how it goes
I would love to be an angel to anyone who needs one. Anybody can message me on here or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Having this put at the top of the page is a great idea
I have never heard of having to have a pap done for bariatric surgery. I had abnormal/pre cancerous cells back in the 90's and nobody ever mentioned anything when I had surgery.
Sucks that it may delay surgery
Keep your chin up
That is interesting.......
I am a people watcher as well. I go to Tim's every Wed for coffee with a friend and we like to make fun of and make stories up about the people and why they are there LOL
Yep I'm creepy too LOL
Here is my advice
Go for follow ups
Go to support groups/coffee meetings if you can, continue on here for support and to give support
Really watch your carbs
Don't eat refined sugar
If your Doc tells you to do something, follow their orders
Try not to let emotions rule you where food is concerned.
Don't drink with your meals
Don't drink pop...............
Good luck with your journey
I lost 130 pounds. I feel awesome, so much healthier. I walk everywhere, I go to the gym. I enjoy life.
I still have weight I want to lose, but life is just so much better now
Losing the weight gave me self esteem and self confidence as well
Good luck on your journey
Damn, no prize ??? LOL
7.5 years for me
Good morning all
I have to go for an MRI Feb 23 at 7:45 PM at TWH and my BF thought it would be cool to spend the day downtown and stay at a hotel that night since the next day is my birthday
I'm just not sure what hotels are close and have decent rates. If anyone has any ideas let me know.
Have a great day all
We all need to have dreams and goals. Don't let him burst your bubble.
I hope you achieve the goals you have for yourself and he sees that and eats his words. Even if we don't achieve the goals and dreams we have we don't need negative/un supportive people to bring us down
Sorry to hear about your issues. I think many of us get that way especially this time of year.
Glad you went to your Doctor for help.
Do you go to any support/coffee group meetings. That helps to motivate me
I log my food on myfitnesspal and have friends from OH and FB that keep me motivated
Are you on FB? There are a few groups on there to help you stay motivated
If you are on FB add me email@example.com and I will hook you up with some groups
The support is key I think
I just got a text from Kelly's boyfriend that surgery went well and Kelly is in recovery
I will keep you posted if I hear more
Kelly will be going home tomorrow. I'm sure she will post when able
As already said, surgeons suggest no drinking for 6 months after surgery and then drinking hits us very hard because of the malabsorption. I'm 7 years out and if I drink wine fast..... I can feel it faster than I could prior to surgery.
There is lots documented on people "transferring addictions" once they no longer have food to use to sooth emotions or for "comfort"
Transfer addictions can include drinking, gambling, shopping, exercise
He may need help
Lets all give Kelly some positive vibes today as she goes for her panni surgery
I will keep you posted later today when I have heard something
Good vibes sent your way Kel for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery
If you get rashes have them documented from now on. Apparently OHIP is getting very sticky about approving pannie's so no telling how long until none are covered. You want to have the best case for yourself when the time comes
