Thank you for your kind offer, much appreciated. I just need to do a little more each day and build my strength back up.

As for the WLS and hysterectomy interacting with each other - I would certainly hope not since my RNY was 7 YEARS ago. LOL I have just had a bizarre serious of complications - internal bleed, UTI, hematoma, possible abcess..... etc. On the mend and thank you!

Off for a short walk to Tim's to get a coffee and some much needed fresh air.

Monica, thanks so much for your text message.

Since having my hysterectomy on Jan 24 I have had nothing but complications and have been hospitalized 4 times since. I am hating this and have been in incredible pain, not encouraging me to do anything but lay on the couch and wish for a quick death. lol Just kidding. I am now home (again) as of tonight and hoping for the best. I'll post more in the morning. Thank you everyone for your care and concern. I feel so out of the loop and am seriously struggling.

Onward and upward and really trying to remain positive!

    Thanks guys. XO

No, they are not a meal supplement. They can, however, be added to your breakfast menu if you're not a big eater in the morning.

    Moring all

I'm feeling so badly that I haven't been online to offer support. Honestly I am having complete "buyer's remorse" (even though the surgery was necessary) and haven't had a thing left inside me to offer anyone else. Today is a new day and goals #1 and 2 are accomplished - up and showered and walked down the street to Tim's to get a coffee. LOL Pretty bad, eh? Anyway, I'm back. I've missed you all and I hope that you're all doing SO well.

B - coffee with milk, toast with cheese (by the way, pardon my menu please, I'm just trying to eat whatever appeals)
S - protein shake, later some melon
L - 4 oz tuna, green onions, mayo, 5 melba rounds, raw peppers in tzatziki dip
S - protein shake, London Fog
    D - acorn squash (1/4), meatloaf

Tons of water, all vites and meds.

    Have a wonderful Friday

    Topic: RE: Hi folks
Thank you so much for your thoughts and payers - it means so much. Had stome pretty painfull complicatons starting last week, ended up back in Mississauga Trillium on both Thursday and then again Sunday 'til today. Having some pretty serious buyers remorse at the moment but working through it.

Just back hme after several days and tests and totally crappy hospital food. Will update later, but please know I am okay for now and doing okay.

Tracey, sorry didn't have my cell with me this time so thank you for posting and responding to Bryan who apparently didn't "get" that it was important to text you back.

Miss you all very much amd hope this is the last time away because of this.

I DID however, remember to bring and wear my pedometer to the hospital and I'm still wearing here at my parents' place (I walk laps around their house. haha)

Anyway, I have 10.2 km to report for the week. On ward and up ward for us!

    Morning all

Going to keep this fairly short and sweet (haha... if I can, that is) as my patents' antiquated computer is giving me fits. Tracey thank you for texting and updating everyone and to everyone else - thank you SO much for your well-wishes. I sure has meant a lot to me. I've missed you guys and I think I'm in OH withdrawal. And by "I" I'm sure you know I meant "it" - this damned computer won't let me correct spelling either. LOL

So, the long and short of it is this. Had an open hysterectomy and a panniculectomy on January 24th. The GYN was to leave the ovaries and cervix but unfortunately my rather invasive fibroids had been pressing down on the cervix and it was basically obliterated, so he just took it. Oh well, at least I have my ovaries! I had the panni with a plastic surgeon once the GYN was finished. I did not see the man prior to, after or even during my 5 day hospital stay. Didn't even call to see how I was doing. What I will say about the panni is that it had damn well be VERY swollen cuz it looks like I had nothing done. GRRR. Will be making an appointment to see him early next week. I swear to gawd, I did not go through this hell to look the same as I did prior. Anyway... it is definitely swollen like crazy. And sore. I've managed to have only a couple of Percs since yesterday, so things are looking up.

I was doing really well and they were planning to let me go home on Saturday. Friday afternoon I started feeling crappy and tests showed that my blood pressure had dropped significantly and my hemoglobin tanked from 138 to 59. They did an ultrasound, CT scan, 2 blood transfusions as it appears that I had an internal bleed that has managed to fix itself, thank gawd. MUCH better the past couple of days I'm happy to report. I'm up and walking and climbing stairs, etc.

I've completely lost my appetite and am having trouble even forcing myself to eat, but working very hard on that. I'm drinking water like crazy, which is a good thing. Everything else feels good, my incision looks good and I have some energy this morning!

I am SO ready to go home - I miss Bryan and Kirby and just want to be in my own space with my own "stuff". So, I guess I'm off for the next 6 weeks or so which will be interesting in itself. Looking forward to it!

Thank you again for your kind words. Happy Wednesday!

    Karen XOXOXO

Thank you for updating Tracey I am at my parents' place and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to reply to messages. I'm now set to "plain text editor" and it seems to be working.
P.S. As I'm sure you can tell, I'm a lousy texter on my old phone. lol

Kelly, I haven't felt hungry in almost 7 years. I eat by the clock because I have to. So I don't care about the no food.  I DO care about being thirsty as hell though. lol

If you're feeling really nauseous take a Gravol before you eat.  I did that for a couple of weeks early post-op.
