Topic: RE: Recent cost of tummy tuck/abdominoplasty upgrade with Dr. Nanda?

Thanks Dana.  Was that for a TT as well as the breast reduction, or TT only?

I realize that.  I was trying to get an estimate only.. obviously I would go to Dr. Nanda to get an actual amount.  Just wanted to get a general idea

Thanks!  Do you know how much was for each procedure?  I'm really just looking for the tummy tuck part of it  :)

Topic: RE: Recent cost of tummy tuck/abdominoplasty upgrade with Dr. Nanda?

That's the hope!  lol  Just wondering if I can afford the option of upgrading to a tummy tuck.  I won't be having anything done to my breasts unless it is fully covered, so am really just looking for the cost of the upgrade to a tummy tuck.

Has anyone gotten a quote recently from Dr. Nandagopal in Scaroborough regarding the cost of upgrading from a panniculectomy (sp?) to a tummy tuck?   If so please share!  :)

    Thanks,

Topic: RE: What is your FitBit of choice?

You can log an activity manually.  You don't have to stop the fitbit - you aren't wearing it so it isn't active anyway.  You just go to log activity and type in water aerobics (that's the only one I can find that fits anyway!)  It asks you how long you did it and what time you started.  It adds calories burned and ups your activity score, but I never noticed if it added steps or not.

That's how I do it anyway.. but not sure if it is the proper way or anything!  lol

I went to an aquafit class this morning then spent a half hour on the treadmill before my hour long Group Power class.  I'm flipping exhausted tonight!!!  Go figure!

I've got the Fitbit One and absolutely love it!  I use it to track my sleep as well. I do find I walk extra just to get to my daily goals and it makes me nuts if I don't hit one of those goals too, so for me it is definitely a good thing!  Will be looking into the Flex when it comes out though.  Looks really comfy!

Topic: RE: Nausea and Fever like chills and heat after eating

The first 6 months or so I was like that.  Spent more time throwing up than eating.. that's for sure!!!  I had problems with everything.. meat, bread, eggs, milk, rice/pasta, etc.  I basically got by on protein shakes, cottage cheese, cheese strings and crackers and tons of supplements!  Nothing would settle no matter how much I chewed.  I did get past it though, and never had any complications. I can eat a wide variety now, but still have to stay away from red meat that isn't ground and eggs and be REALLY careful with rice or pasta (when I bother with them).  Don't be lax about your protein and vitamins.  You need them more than ever and if you can't get in enough through your diet, you have to supplement your protein.

    Best of luck  :)

Topic: RE: Jillian Michael's 30day shred

If she is as much of a b*tch as she is on The Biggest Loser the only exercise I would end up getting would be by stomping up and down on the DVD!!  Cannot stand that woman!  Her idea of motivation is tearing people down.. then turning around and being sickeningly sweet afterwards.. ugh!!!!

Topic: RE: Costco - Premier Protein and Bathing Suits on Sale

Just left Costco.  Premier Protein Shakes were $19.99 for a case and Bars were 12.86 or something (I think that is the normal price though).

Speedo bathing suits for women are on sale again for $19.99 and $23 depending on the style.  Love those suits!

    Topic: RE: ARE YOU SLIDING????

Thanks so much for posting this.  I have been sliding as well and finally started getting back on track last week.  My lowest weight has been 209, but managed to get back up to 215.  Not happy with that at all.  My goal is 185, and I'm going the wrong way!  I have not been losing, but simply maintaining for about 6 months, then over December my weight started going up.  NOT good.  I am giving myself a shake and not beating myself up about it, but simply getting back to basics.  Tracking everything I eat, walking, eating properly, trying to get in as much water as I can and getting in enough protein.   Last week I sort of eased back into it, and this week I'm totally back on track.  We can all do this!!!  And your right.. 10, 20, 30 pounds is WAY better than 100 or 200!  That is just not going to happen!!!

Topic: RE: IS CPAP JUST A CASH GRAB FOR THOSE WHO DON'T REQUIRE IT?

Everyone has a rough night sleeping with all the electrodes and the mask at the clinic and of course you had a horrible night's sleep.  They must have seen that your breathing improved somewhat during the sleep that you did manage to get and that is why they suggested taking a machine home for a month.  Isn't that a free trial?  Not sure where the cash grab is in that?  If it helps you - great.  You will learn to love the machine if it makes a positive difference.  If it doesn't make any difference - then don't buy one.
