Topic: RE: I had my first hamburger since surgery and it was yummy!
I usually buy slider buns which are much smaller.  I slider is about the right size for me.  I also marinade and grill portabella mushrooms and make a burger out of that and recently tried quinoa burgers and they were quite tasty too.

Topic: RE: Dr. Oz Frozen treats
I can't do greek yogurt on its own but love it mixed with different flavours of source yogurt and some fruit.  Not long after my surgery last fall I made these with the three ingredients and froze them and they turned out great.  I think I got the suggestion from somewhere on here so OH is actually ahead of Dr Oz. LOL

Topic: RE: 15lbs til goal,..and stuck!!
Not sure if this will help but I just had my 9 month check up with Dr Reed and he asked if my hair was coming back in.  Since it is he said that in the 130lbs I had lost a certain % was muscle, forget if he said 10 or 20 lbs, your body now wants to regain that muscle which weighs more then fat.  He said at this point I will probably notice a plateau or even a 1 -2 lb regain but as long as im following the plan I will still be losing and will notice it in inches not weight.  I will then restart losing again.

Add me to the list of those trying to figure this out also.
When do you tell the person?  Too soon you will scare them off but if you wait till its almost time to be intimate they might be totally grossed out....grrrr.  When I was big I dated men who are into big women but now I'm size 16/14 but am terrified of getting naked due to all the loose skin ect.

Feels like its taking forever now to get under the 200 lb mark. LOL  Most weeks are about 1-2 lb loss so 3 lbs this week is great.

    Very sorry about your grandmother

Topic: RE: Brazillian Wax After WLS
Yeap I have done my own a number of times.  It is harder to get the skin taught then before surgery but can be done.  Easier however to get into positions to get all the angles though then when really heavy.
Much easier to go see someone else to do it thought.

Topic: RE: Medic Alert Bracelet Information
Your best bet is to ask your center.  Everyone seems to have opinions on what should or shouldnt be on it.  Some put no sugars and no NSAIDS but others will say never put this as these could save your life in an emergency.
Guelph tells you not to get medic alert that you do not need it.

    Topic: RE: Tattoo
Not prudish.  Its meant to mean something to you so it should be something you are comfortable with.  Im actually surprised I ended up going as big as I did with the back one but won't show as its under my clothes.

It really is like being reborn and im loving it

    Topic: RE: Tattoo
So like many others on here I wanted to get a tattoo to commemorate my weight loss.  I was hoping to be under 200 lbs when I finally got it but since I had to prebook the tattoo it hasn't worked out yet but I will get there.
I had to think about what would symbolize my new life to me and although first thought is butterfly I'm not a huge fan....so a Phoenix being reborn.

Ok so the pictures were here and are now gone  LOL  You can see them on my profile at http://images.obesityhelp.com/uploads/profile/971092/albums/116461/tat.jpg
    Hopefully that works

Topic: RE: ok help finding undergarmets
I love my spanx but really can't afford the $80 price so have found them new for much cheeper on ebay.
Also the flexees Fat Free Dressing leggings.....I love these!  They are actually comfortable and I don't find them hot to wear.

    Topic: RE: Bad News Today
Wow I didn't know it was so low.  I had to keep turning the settings down on mine and then finally went off of it 2 weeks ago.  Can't get in to get tested for a few months.  Am really hoping its gone however at my heaviest I had over 100 episodes and hour so Im a little worried.

Topic: RE: Driver`s license, health card, other ID pics...
Glad I read this as Im heading to Niagara falls for a few days and hoped to do some cross boarder shopping.  I was worried about my passport though, at this point all my ID is still at 300+ lbs

    Topic: RE: Boob Origami
LOL thanks for that.  I am having the most trouble dealing with the loose skin on my boobs, way more then my belly, arms, ass oh I just have so many places.  Helps to be able to take a humorous attitude and I needed reminding of that.

    Topic: RE: 6 month update
Thanks everyone.  Yes people have been surprised and you can see the look of shock on their faces sometimes.
The very best part however is how great it feels.  You have no idea just how hard carrying all the weight around is until its gone.
LOL the other day at the doctors with a client and I looked down and I had crossed my legs while talking.

    Topic: RE: 6 month update
Went to the clinic this week for my 6 month check up and everything is going great.  All my bloodwork is normal with no issues.  I nolonger have pain in my hips or knees.  I don't avoid stairs or long walks for fear of pain.
I have lost 74% of my clinics goal weight and have gone from a BMI of 56.9 to 37.1 and lost a total of 114 lbs since I began this journey.
This really is the best tool.

Edited to add pictures that didnt show up the 1st time, hope they do this time

    Topic: RE: Help with bras
Hey everyone thanks for the help.  Good to know I'm not the only one that has issues with this.  I will give the shops in Guelph a try and maybe Sears also.  At this point I don't want to buy a bunch of bras as I'm only 6 months out and still losing, but I really need one or two good ones to make me look better under these wonderful new clothes I'm fitting into.

    Topic: RE: Help with bras
    LMAO
Bet your an expert fitter too!

    Topic: RE: Help with bras
