- HEALTH TRACKER
I know I have been absent from the boards for a while but a quick search and I did not see any new posts from Thea since February...I message her my mileage weekly with no response or posts... so I am worried.
I don't want to keep bugging her if the challenge was stopped etc...
Can someone please send me an update....
WOW!!! Congrats on all your successes!!!!! You must be very proud of all your hard work and dedication!!!!
a trick I heard about for eating slowly is to use chopsticks..... For me it would take forever to get anything in as I can't seem to hold them correctly!!! I too have a tendency to still eat too fast.... lesson learned!!! take care
I started this journey on the extreme end of morbidly obese with a BMI over 50..... As of my last weigh-in I am not even obese anymore!!! Just overweight!!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!!!
This wls has taken me so far and I love it!! Of course in the very beginning I was wondering "what the heck did I do!" But that is when I couldn't eat, couldn't drink and was scared..... Now, food is there as fuel not a passion.... I have days where eating requires a reminder and other days when I have to stop myself!!!
Just wanted to share my happy news.... I can't wait to get away from this desk and enjoy the beautiful weather outside!!!!
Take care everyone!!!
To be honest, I haven't been in the forum too much lately...I miss it but life is a little busy...
I hope I just missed the thread and all is well with Miss Thea..... Guess I will send her a PM.....
Anyone have any info???
Well folks, it's hard to believe but a year has passed.... I am down 133.8lbs.... 1.2 lbs from the original goal.... And yet I think I still want to try to go lower.... I am thinking 175 would be a good place to aim for now.... I am please with the results so far. this was probably the easiest part of the lifelong process..... now the hard part of maintaining.... Any advice from the Vets???
Sorry but it was me keeping you waiting!!!
I was in with Alison,...thought I was seeing Aspen.... We seemed to have a lot to discuss!!
Too bad we didn't get a chance to talk!!!
My plan was to go to the gym after work...That is not going to happen now so hopefully when I get home later tonight I will make the time to follow my routine there... weights and crunches.....Maybe even get some Wii just dance 4 in....That is always fun :)
Sorry things aren't going a little smoother for you yet....soon!!!
I sent you a PM for last weeks mileage. This week is a total of 95 km!! Yahoo!!!!
One of these days spring will show up and our numbers will skyrocket!!!!
Let's GO A TEAM!!!!!!!
Sorry for my late response too!!! I hope I am still responding in time!!
I totaled 88 km this passed week!!! Woot woot!!!
Go The A Team!!!
After work, hitting the gym.... the treadmill and then weights....my trainer has a program for me to tighten the tummy :) yippee!!!
The gym is also having a competition for the month....whoever burns the most calories on cardio machines will win a free month of membership!! Might just have to stay longer on the treadmill or elliptical!!!
Sorry about the slip on the ice but hey!!! You did the splits!!!
I will definitely need motivation some days...I think I would be disappointed with myself most days.... So maybe a fitbit is what I NEED!!!
Maybe for my birthday!!
I don't have one .....yet.... I am not sure if it would just be a waste of money for me..... so I am very interested in the responses to your post!!
Congrats on your achievements so far!!! Way to go!!!
At the beginning of my journey, (with the clinic) I weighed 325. they asked me what I felt would be a good goal. I figured 150....they suggested it most likely would be too low for me and my frame. So they used their calculations and came up with 190 for me. That is what I am aiming for on my ticker.... Since losing and getting close to their goal, I have felt I could still go lower than that but not too much since I have been overweight since age 5. I think if I went to 150 I might look/feel ill. I want to be healthy....
So that being said, when I get to their goal I want to work toward 175. I am currently in size 12 jeans and large tops. I think if I lose another 18-20 lbs I would be content with that..... I feel almost normal looking.... average size..... I don't know.... MY brain is still catching up with the changes...... as long as i don't go up I will be happy!!!
good luck on your journey!
My suggestion..... if you can, go often..... They sometimes have samples of the premier protein stuff.... I hear so much about it and was tempted to get it....until I tried their sample.... UGH!!!!
I agree with Ian, don't stock up on anything!!!! Try things in small amounts first, then stock up after!! vitamins, protein etc, tastes change and evolve!!!
It is all personal taste though!! so good luck!!
