I was so good about asking my PS questions off a list I would make (2 consults)  BUT I forgot to ask him how long before my hubby and I can "be together" Anyone give me some idea.  I told him it would probably be like when I had children, God that was forever ago.  But maybe longer? Well now, here's the difference between an LBL and anything else you may have encountered.  You're skin is cut and lifted off of your body, you have heavy duty sutures sewn into your core muscles, and then you have drains to expel serum fluid that collects from all of that trauma.  That right there ought to put you in the mood for romance, no?  But here's the deal.  Activity makes you produce more fluid, so nothing til the drains come out.  And then too much activity can cause seromas and wound separations.  My doc says six weeks for "activity".  For me, it was seven.  But hey, there have been people here who got busy with their drains in!   My doc would have had a whole herd of cows. Well, isn't that funny?  I just asked my PS about that on Tuesday   She said she usually recommends at least six weeks, but as long as you feel up to it, you're careful and it's not painful it should be ok.  Hubby kinda happy to hear this  I was a little pleased myself   hmmm, 3 weeks out... 

Oh Oh Oh I am 6 1/2 weeks out from LBL......my last drain came out yesterday.   I'm not feeling the whole sex thing at this point and don't know whn I will.   My Ex-husband whom I happen to live with, is driving me crazy.   Well he already loves they way I look, with swelling and all but he has a long wait in front of him. I had anchor cut TT not LBL. I waited 9 days. The drains were out. I left the binder on during. I made sure no pressure was put on my insicions. B

Why did you opt for the TT anchor, as oppose to the LBL?  And what is meant by TT "anchored"? Scheduled for LBL on July 9th.

I didn't feel like I needed it.  I didn't have much of a behind when I was heavy. I didn't feel the little butt wrinkle I had was worth the extra incision around the back. Spin class has helped lift behind. Anchor cut TT has a vertical componant. This gives the scar the appearance of an anchor or upside down T. I really needed the vertical incision as I  had alot of skin and fat to be removed from my belly. See before and afters on profile. Belinda

After my LBL, I was told as soon as I felt like it.....usually around 3 weeks.  Well.....I felt like it on day 9!  I couldn't really do much but lay there and enjoy it, but that was fine with me!  LOL
