Sharp Pain on Side

I am 4 days post op from my LBL and TL. I'm fairly cranky and definately in the "I hate myself for doing this" stage. I have two significant problems that are really depressing me. First, I have a sharp pain in my left side. Sharp enough that I want to cry. It's at least 5 inches above the suture line of the LBL. Second, my butt is still so sore and swollen that there is no comfortable position. Reading thru the last few days of posts, it would appear that I am not alone with this. I can actually sleep very briefly on my left side until that darn sharp pain hurts.

Any ideas what the sharp pain might be?

I'm 3 1/2 weeks out and I have a sharp pain in the same spot.  I've had it since surgery.  It is getting better as time goes by.  My doctor said its where he did lipo and tightened the muscle.  It will take time to feel better, but you can rub it in a circular motion (gently)  to keep it from forming scar tissue.

After my LBL I slept in a recliner for 4wks. I could not even get in my bed. Plus my PS recomended it.
Also had the thigh lift different time, and slept in the recliner for 2wks.
It might be from laying on your side?
