First, I'm on heavy duty pain meds, so I hope I can still think and type this post properly.  I had the surgery this morning.

Surgery went very well.  I've gone from a double D to a low C cup.

I can already see that I am now a member of the IBTC, and proud of it.  It's a dream come true.  I already feel lighter and they are no longer in my way!  I still have cleavage, and hoping that I still have that after swelling decreases.

have been keeping them iced down, so that should help with swelling.

My surgeon had me buy a Fruit of the Loom front closure comfort bra from Wal-Mart (style 96014) it's like a sports bra.  I bought it way to big and am glad.  I know it won't fit for long, so I'm having my husband go to Walmart tomorrow for smaller ones.  That way I'll have them on hand. I'm supposed to wear them for 6 weeks.  He dock used the bra as part of his dressing, it’s stuffed full of gauze.

Besides Vicadan, I am taking one anti-biotic a day, when the vicadan starts to wear off, my breasts sting and burn.  I'm so thankful for pain meds. The surgery was a done this morning at around
9ish.   I’m not allowed to take a shower for 5 days. So, I took a sponge bath before bed.  I might ask my husband to wash my hair in the sink tomorrow.   I’m so excited about my perky little breasts!!!!!!   If there are any PRE Breast Reduction surgery people out there, feel free to ask me questions.

So glad you are feeling well.  Gosh, I would have imagined BR would be more painful than VSG.  I know you're glad it isn't.  What does IBTC mean?

Yay trish!  This is great news.  I'm so glad you're out of surgery.

Your girls are going to stay perky.  I love my full C!  And I have lots of cleavage at 34c.  Works for me to not be lugging those big breasts around.

Rest rest rest.  Hydrate and get in your protein and you'll be great.  Don't forget your stool softeners along with your Vicodin.  :)

Congrats!

I'm right there with you...IBTC indeed. And frankly, I could not be happier.
If I wanted to to, I could go braless and I love that. (of course, I wouldn't go anywhere w/o a bra but you know what I mean!)

It is so nice to have them off my belly. There is no fold anywhere, they don't touch anywhere underneath. Nice 'projection' as the plastic surgeon's call it!

Best part is everyone saying "geez, how much more weight have you lost??".
Truth is none.

But big boobs make people look bigger. (Apparently they did me anyway.)

Here's to a quick and uneventful recovery for you!

Yay Trish!  I'm so happy it's behind you!  You're gonna love your new boobies. If you need anything at all I'm just up the street!

Thanks everyone!

My PS has me wearing compression stockings all the way up to my thigh, for 3 weeks!

I'm keeping my breasts on ice packs.

Boy was I off on the date - I thought your surgery was today, the 18th!   I got on here looking for you to see if you posted today.   Oh, well, I WAS thinking of you, just on the wrong day!
Hope all is still going good!    I want to have breast surgery SO much - I am really having a hard time dealing with mine.    I can deal with the loose tummy skin, but not the breast!   Larry says to give it time, it will fill back in.   He is dreaming ;).

Hey Paula, I'm doing OK.  I'm 10 days out and I ain't gonna sugar coat it...my breasts hurt bad.  I am taking the pain pills every 4-6 hours.  Today is the first day that I actually got out of bed.  I'm sitting in the living room....which is progress.  I realize that I'm sort of a wimp though, it seems others heal faster, or get through the pain better than I do, but I believe this recovery is harder than the sleeve, the gallbladder, but not shoulder surgery.  Shoulder surgery was the hardest.

Anyway, our insurance covers breast reduction if you have at least 100 grams to remove.

My girls hurt, but they look spectacular.  Dr. Westfield did an amazing job.  I'm very happy with the results.  He said I'll be a high B, low C.  There a little swollen still, so they appear a bit bigger right now, but they will get smaller.  Can't wait!  I want to be a bonafide member of the itty bitty ***** committee!

Good for you!! I would recommend using unscented maxi pads instead of gauze. They were much cheaper and easier to use for me. The bra keeps them in place. They padded my incisions nicely and protected them from the bra. I never had any issues after my lift. Boobs were easy.

It is pretty much the same surgery, but if you want to insist your surgery was tougher than mine, go right ahead.
