Phase 1 plastics officially booked!

It seems when that when it comes down to making myself happy, I sure do jump on things as soon as I can and make them happen.

I officially booked my 'dragon wing removal' surgery (arm lift) for December 11th! My wings are so horrifically bad, its so embarrassing. I knew I would have issues with extra flab from the day I started thinking about having WLS - but HOT DAMN. I can fly away with these babies. I met with 2 plastic surgeons and decided to go with Dr. Zubowski in Paramus NJ. It was suggested (by both surgeons) that I extend the arm lift to also having a breast lift - but financially with the crazy loan process it wasn't in my budget. I decided to stay semi smart and get a loan to cover my arm lift and pay off a credit card with debt on it and a huge interest rate. Financially it was better off for me. There is always room for other plastics down the line though - because my entire body sure needs help that gym wont help much.

I am still in shock that it all got approved and finalized yesterday. I am so ready to have another confidence booster. My life has just been getting better and better since I had my VSG in December 2012. Since surgery I am down 122lbs and since my highest weight I am down 141lbs. That's literally a whole human that I lost. It still amazes me. I absolutely love how I am healthy, and happy. Nothing comes easy, but what a crazy fun ride it has been.

Just wanted to share :o)

Good luck to you!  I was just in your neck of the woods (I was in Saddle River for two weeks).  Getting the arms done is SO worth it so I think you have a lot to look forward to.  Congratulations on your successful journey!  Keep us posted on how it goes.  Are you having the procedure done at Hackensack?

Thank you!! Congrats to you! Dr Zubowski doesn't do his surgeries in a hospital - in where his office is he has a surgical floor/part with his own set staff.

How is the healing with the arms? How is the pain or discomfort and the moving around.

Dragon wings  I'll have to call mine that. Today my 12 year old asked me "is that normal?" She was asking about my loose skin on my arms. I told her they are my wings and I started flapping my arms.
