4 days post op

I had a tummy tuck and breast lift Wednesday.  I know they pumped me full of fluids,  but I sure didn't expect to be 8 pounds heavier than before surgery! Also, I just tried on a pair of pants that fit me a little tight before, and I can't even get them up. Please tell me this is temporary! ,

I was up about the same number of pounds post-op, too. If I remember correctly, my waist was 4 inches bigger immediately post-op. I wore yoga pants and sun-dresses until the swelling was gone. By the end of the first month, I lost 3 of the 4 inches and by 3 months my swelling was gone. Some people swell much longer. Hang in there. Yes, I promise it does get better!!

I had an LBL, Breast and arm lift and was swollen..

REALLY, REALLY swollen for 3 months!!

I was very depressed, I didn't think I would swell so long...

But your body does, what your body does,

and all you can do is to be patient ( very hard) and wait...

After my Arm lift/BL I was up 10lbs... yup. Had to talk my brain off the ledge...LOL. From my LBL I was only up about 3-4lbs but I will say it took a full three months for all the swelling to go down. Swelling made a significant decrease after week 3, and I thought- Oh this is it- but it continued slowly...
