Large Hematoma after TT

I had a TT on 8/22 with no lipo no muscle repair. The panniculus removal portion was fairly large. 3 or 4 days post op I developed a hematoma. My surgeon suspects it has liquefied as the dark red stuff has been coming out of my right drain about 50-90 ccs every 12 hours.  My left drain was removed a week post op. I am very swollen in the abdomen. I was wondering if anyone else has been through this. I have an appointment with my surgeon on Tuesday in regards to this and I am truly terrified. Terrified I will need to go back to the operation room, plus scared I will become septic with all this old blood draining out.

I did not, but I hope you feel better soon. If it gets worse today be sure to contact your surgeon even though you have an appointment tomorrow. Do not worry about bothering him. That's his job.

Keep us posted!!

Better out than in. Make sure drain doesn't become blocked. Our tissue is very vascular and sometimes there can be a bleed. As long as no fever, not change in drainage to ***** or milky you should be good. Check your temp a couple times a day. Hope you feel better soon
