The link above are my latest pictures of my body lift.  Right now I am around 161 pounds and I am 5'5".  I would like to lose another 5 pounds.  Swellling is down, but I have some issues above my belly button with the amount of skin.  I saw Capella 2 weeks ago and he says I am still swollen so I guess we need to wait.

Someone asked me at work would I do it again - hell yes.  I will be saving for the rest of the surgery this year to include breast lift, flankoplasty and brachioplasty.

If I can I would love to do the legs as well.  For the first time in my life I went to Victoria Secrets and bought some pretty things.  My husband thought this was a bikini and I had to tell him matching bra with panties.  Not bad for being 50.

Have any of you heard of the fascia blaster and what are your thoughts?

I still do a protein shake in the morning.  Right after the body lift it was the only thing I felt like having!  Protein is what I focus on.

What is a flankoplasty? I thought that was another term for lower body lift, but you already had that. Is he going to address the skin above your belly button that you are unhappy about? I am also 50 and have lost 200 pounds. My surgeon got my tummy perfectly flat. So can yours. If you search my old posts, I have posted pics in the past.

I have not heard of the fascia blaster.

Flankoplasty - the skin that you have to deal with while putting on your bra.  It might help address the issue with the skin from the belly button.  Dr. Capella will bring down the incision on the arms and remove the extra skin.  I will speak to him in October and we can address it in the next surgery.

Fascia blaster is a tool to break up the fascia.  I saw it on face book and now they have it on You Tube.  It looks interesting, but is it really working?

Cindy, I can tell you from experience that if all you do is extend the incision down from the arms, straight down your side and that's all and remove a little skin that way, it's not going to do very much to stop the "bra bulge" or "bra muffin top" if that's what you were talking about.  One of the other posters on here had that done and showed me her results (we live near each other and had the same surgeon) and I had the actual upper body lift (extended the arm incision down to my bra line but then hooked it 90 degrees and went across my back along the bra line) and that actually has almost entirely removed the bra bulge.  Most of that extra skin is loose skin in the vertical direction, not horizontal.  Just giving you fair warning so you don't spend a bunch of money on something that has only minor results!

Congratulations on your great progress!

It's difficult to wait for swelling to lessen and healing to march forward. Good luck with the patience to do so and on your next surgeries!

How far out after LBL was that picture?  To me it seems like a lot of skin still above the bellybutton.

There is not so much now, but after seeing Dr. Capella yesterday for a post op visit, he will address that area when he does the flankoplasty.  He showed me and pulled back skin on my sides and it does fix this area.

I had other surgeons consult me for an lower body lift with fleur di lis procedure as a better option.  I did not want to do that because of necrosis.

I cannot wait for the rest of the cosmetic surgery to get done.  I have so many people asking me about my surgery and I love the way I look in clothes.  Need to do some jean shopping.
