Surgical glue removal
It's time for me to start using the silicone strips that I got from my surgeon. But I have to remove all the glue first. Some of it came off with gentle washing. I just now oiled it, hoping that will help. Any advise as to how to remove the glue. picking at it kind of freaks me out.

First off - don't remove glue that's on incisions! Wait for it to fall of on its own.
For the glue that isn't on incisions, I was instructed to wash gently with soap on a bath poof. I didn't start doing this until all the incisional glue had come off on its own. It took a few days of gentle washing like this to completely come off.

Yes any surgical glue that isn't coming off easily with gentle scrubbing leave it alone. Forcing it off worsens the scar line.
If it is surgical silicone tape you can lay it over the glue.
