I've had PCOS for ever it seems. I'm 30. I had my son at age 18. Glad I did now, I can't have any more babies. Everything happens for a reason I guess! Anyway, I am planning to have my wls on 4/23/04. I am having a really hard time losing my docs required pre-op weight. 20 lbs. For someone with PCOS that might as well be 200. Still struggling as the clock ticks away.

You are not laone at all!!!! I had my oldest at 19 and it took me 5+ yrs to have my second and I praise God I could. This surgery will help us all. You are having surgery on my birthday, I will be praying and rooting for you!!!

You are def not alone, and I can sympathize with the pain of loosing 20 lbs! My therapist said yesterday that she thought everyone could lose weight the natural way by eating healthy and exercizing - little does she know! I don't have kids but hope that if I have WLS my chances will increase. Good luck with your surgery - you'll be in my thoughts! Linda
