    PCOS After WLS

Wants we lose weight do we still have PCOS or does it go away? I was wondering because many post-WLS patients start having a regular menstral cycle.
It will always be with us but it will be under better control. My cycles still haven't evened out all the way and I'm 9 months out and 100 lbs down. Dina
Hi Selina, I am 14 months out and my cycles are regular for the first time in my life. I am on no meds and my blood sugars are normal (i was on insulin, high b/p and the pill for pcos). I am hoping that we will be able to conceive a child without too much difficulty since my cycles are normal now. Good luck! Hugs, Maria 306/200/180
I am 6 months post op and down 115lbs. My periods are now regular. The first few months were quite painful but it seems to be getting better
I'm 6 1/2 weeks out, down 54 pounds and started my period a couple of days ago, after two+ years of no periods. I was shocked. And happily so. I know it never goes away, but losing weight does make a huge difference.
