Weight Loss Surgery Directory

    Being treated differently after surgery

Apparently money is worth more when you're thinner?
While being thin may not get you more merchandise, it certainly seems to get you better service.
I have noticed that since losing over 130 lbs the level of service I receive from employees of most retailers has gotten so much better.
It seems that higher-end like Nordstrom, Neiman's and Bana Republic understand that just because a person is shopping there but may not fit in their clothes doesn't mean that person isn't shopping for someone else.
I have always received top notch service at those above named retailers regardless of what my what was.
I have to say this wasn't the case everywhere unfortunately. I think the most blatant case for me was shopping at Express. I was shopping there for Christmas gifts and was blatantly ignored. Now that I have lost over 130 lbs, I walk into Express and their employees are more helpful than ever.
Yes its angering, but do I blame Express? Not at all. Do i blame the employees? Their friends? Their other surroundings and influences? Yes.
If you would like to read my letter to express you can view it on my blog.
