Rear facing convertible car seat - for small car

Josiah has outgrown his infant carseat so we need to get a new one this weekend. I have one for our SUV but we need to get one for DH's car - which is a PT Cruiser convertible. We tried to put the one we have in there and the front seat has to be all the way up. :sigh:

Does anyone know of a carseat that fits in a small backseat?

I would call babies r us or something like that and talk to them... they should know...

I saw online something about Sunshine Radian being slim, but I know nothing about the carseat.  Check it out.  

Ugh...what a pain...how did he outgrow it? By him kicking on seat or weight or what? Sorry, I am stupid here and may need to know this for my own little guy....ugh....

I think she is saying shut up Mom and get me the hell out of here. I am going to be embarrassed years to come when my friends see this. LMAO!

He is in an infant rear facing carseat now and it goes to 20lbs so we need to get on the ball and get another bigger carseat - especially before our trip to VT. They have to be rear racing until at least a year so that is what I am searching for but they are all so HUGE and although Julie's suggestion to go car shopping sounds great - a car seat would be a much cheaper option right now.
I will let you know what I come up with!
