    Monday Weigh IN

    Another dud week. I had such high hopes and of course when you are expecting a loss the scale stays the same. Well it went down .2 pounds from 188.7 to 188.5 but I am less than thrilled. I did not get to walk yesterday and I am pretty pissed off about it AND I went to a BBQ where I made very good food choices but I am very bloated this morning. My hands feel really puffy and I need to poop LOL so I guess it is better to see a small loss rather then a gain. What really stinks is that I weighed fully dressed on Friday at the doctor and was 189 so I was convinced I would have a great loss this week. BAH.

    And that's exactly what I saw... I've been feeling bloated so I figured it wasn't going to be pretty. Weight was 196 pounds this morning. I was hovering around 192 so things are headed in the wrong direction - this week it's getting serious about eating well and getting my work out in!
    Sorry about your gain. I am glad you are getting serious this week. Did you know that a 10 pound weight loss no matter what weight you are can help you concieve? I read that once and started gaining like crazy LOL. Good luck this week!

    I had a .5 gain. Ugh! I feel like I am just stuck. I wanted to lose 4 lbs this month and that isn't happening. My birthday is in 2 weeks and that was my mini goal.

    I did begin the 5 Day Pouch Test today. Not necessarily to lose weight but to try and get me more focused. I am hoping it helps get me in a better path of limiting carbs and concentrating on protein, good carbs, and no sugar. We will see.

    I feel like the last 15 pounds I need to get off are never going to leave me. I think my body LOVES that jiggle on my gut and doesn't want to part with it!

    I have also made a solid commitment to do at least 20 minutes of exercise each day this week. I have been lucky to get 3 days per week in. So I asked Johnny to help me stay motivated and make sure he "kindly" reminds me that I promised myself I would!

    I am not going to be bummed and upset with myself. Only going to try harder this week and realize I am not perfect and to take the time to commit to get this weight off. We shall see how next monday pans out.

    I'm sorry about your gain. I am SURE that you will take it off this week. I have heard that the closer you are to goal the harder it is to take off.

    I hope Johnny is supportive of you and helps you to get in your exercise. My husband tries to be but last night he didn'****ch the kids for me so I could go walk in the rain. I really needed my last chance walk since I was so unsure of the sodium in the foods I ate yesterday. Sure enough bloated this morning and of course it is ALL HIS FAULT LOL.
    Johnny and I are both the kind of people who needs the other to NAG them to keep them on track. Good thing we are both good at nagging, so he promised me he would MAKE me exercise. Because I will make every excuse in the book to avoid it. That is so terrible. I wish I was one of those people who LOVED to exercise.

    I also wish I was one of those people who LOVED to clean......oh well, I am a slacker who needs yelled at, and I must embrace the lazy ass that I am......LOL

    I officially got back on the wagon last Wednesday. The Click protein powder came in and I LOVE IT!! I add it to my morning coffee and it lasts me all morning...and only 120 calories! So - since then I have lost a little over 3lbs. I will use today as my cut off and do Monday's along with you all. I have 20 lbs until I am at pre baby weight...and then an additional 10-14 to go to be at my feeling good weight! I haven't started exercising yet because my arthritis has been acting up and I can barely walk let alone do anything else.

    BTW... I have some of Kay's protein chips. Are you interested? I think I have quite a few chile that I will never eat. I can get them out in the mail this week.

    CONGRATULATIONS!! I am so happy for you and your loss. It will be great to have you join in the weigh ins and watch your scale go down.

    If you are the first one to weigh on Monday, make sure you start the thread.
    I had a 1.8 pound gain...I also started my period Saturday.  Hopefully there will be a loss next Monday.  I ate a small bag of Ghirardelli Caramel Squares this weekend, too.  The chocolate craving is bad when I start my period.

    UGH! I'm sorry about your gain. The chocolate is not a good idea LOL. When I am craving chocolate I eat the Chex Mix bars or a Fiber One pastry. Very filling and not as many empty calories as pure chocolate.

    Hey there girly...I am sorry your scale did not move more than it did.  I'm sure your body is just taking a break, and you will have a big loss next week!!!!  At any rate, you are still one heck of a success story!

    As far as my weight goes, I just don't know what to think!  Last week I was up to 105.  This week, down to 102.8.  I get so frustrated and so sick and tired of trying to eat a lot.  Everything tastes crappy.  The only things that even taste good to me are peaches and toast with butter and honey.  It's so bizarre.  Everything else I eat, I have to force down every single bite.  It is VERY tiresome, but alas, I keep on truckin...as I know I have to.   I am feeling MUCH better, so I just keep reminding myself of that with every awful nasty bite...LOL

    I'm just glad you are over 100 now and feeling better.

    Today's weigh in was a bit disappointing but I know that I was less yesterday and that this is temp water weight. I made Turkey chili which is also high sodium. I figure I will get all the bloating out of the way early in the week and watch it on Sunday.

    Well, I did not fare well at all, but I expected this.  This morning I weighed 159.2 pounds - exactly +5 pounds from last week.  I have been eating horribly and not exercising at all, so I got what was coming to me.  However, I don't feel that badly about it.  Joe is leaving on Saturday morning, and I will get right back on the wagon and shoot for my next goal.  So, that was my week.

    ETA:  I also started my period this week, so I am hoping that accounts for some of the weight.  Also, Jennifer, you are still doing great!!  A loss is a loss; you will get to where you want to be eventually!

    I must be the only one who loses around that time of month. Someone was just telling me they gain 8 pounds on the nose the week before their period and she knew she was pregnant when she didn't gain that month. I have been hungry and snacky all day. When I don't see results it is hard to stay motivated. I did walk for an hour to make up for the 200 calories of junk I ate. Tomorrow is ALWAYS a new day and a new way to focus on getting healthy. I am so sad that Joe is going back so soon. I hope you are having a wonderful visit.

    Letty, I am sorry that I didn't respond to your question. I didn't see it and was in my spam folder.

    Every Monday we just do a weigh in and post just to keep each other accountable and maybe to brag a little if we lose LOL. If you are the first to weigh in, you can start the thread. Most of us that post are trying to lose and one is trying to gain.

    We should do a challenge though soon. Maybe an exercise one.
