With my first pregnancy (already had a band), I only gained about 22-23 lbs the entire pregnancy. This time I am gaining so much faster, despite watching what I eat. I'm already up about 13 lbs and I;m barely out of my first trimester!
Do we tend to gain weight faster the second time around? Or is this because I am getting older and my stupid metabolism is slowing down even MORE?

I found that to be true with me. Not to mention I gained more with my 2nd and didn't loose as much of the weight afterwards. Needless to say, I have 30lbs to loose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight....ugh!

For me yes. With Bella I gained 10-15 towards the end. But Reese I gained 25 most the first 6 months. But I've lost all but 4 lbs.

Well, at least I feel more normal now. But I'm really not looking forward to packing on more than last time!

I did gain more in the beginning. But now it's slowing down faster. I started this pregnancy 10 lbs heavier than my last, but now at 33 weeks I am only 2 lbs more than I was at 33 weeks last time. So it seems to be evening out for me right now. The only thing is that the last couple months I have had a lot of stomach issues so I haven't been able to eat as much. I would rather gain a couple more lbs than go through that again (0:

Thanks so much for posting this question ! ! ! I was wondering how all of this might work out for me considering I am lugging around 10-12lbs of my baby weight from Tatum, and now looking at another long 9  months of gaining weight. I gained 35lbs with her, and only 3.5 months post-delivery still have those pounds lingering with being pregnant again, I'm sure the scale will be hidden very soon ! ! !
