Post Date: 1/30/12 12:08 pm I never switched to prenatals - just continued taking my good multi twice per day. The only thing I changed when I found out I was pregnant is that I added a DHA supplement twice daily and stopped supplementing extra vitamin A.
That said, it also depends on what multi you're taking. I didn't switch because the multi I was normally already taking had more folate than the prenatal I compared it to, and I already take iron and calcium separately, so there was no need to switch to a prenatal.
