Hello everyone!

Im about a year and eight months post op. I'm  currently 25 weeks pregnant. It's almost time for my gestational diabetes test and my OB didn't give me any clear instructions. She just said we won't do the sweet drink test instead we'd just do a random blood draw. My questions to you all are- Am I supposed to eat something before hand or be fasting? If I eat something sweet how long should I wait to have my blood drawn? Can I drink anything the morning or day of? My appt is at 8:50 AM. Any other advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Hi there!

I am 26 weeks as of today and due 9/24.  How did your test go?

After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

I'd suggest calling your OB and/or the lab in advance. If it's supposed to be fasting and you actually ate that morning, you'd probably need to re-do the test. Best to get an official word from the people doing the test!
