I had the mirena for 1 1/2 yrs and yes it gave me lighter periods but I also had really loong periods almost 9-10 days and spotting almost always in between cycles.. hated it and wouldnt do it again. Now thats just me I know a few friends who said they had really short or no periods with it and never any complaints soo I guess Im just the lucky one lol.. the copper one I have heard gives you super heavy periods. so just based on my experience I would not get it again even though I did like the fact that I didnt have to think about whether or not I was protected.

I am a little over 8 months out and found out im preggers last Sun. Not planned either but very welcome :) I met with my surgeon on thurs and he has me on extra vitamins and protein but he was very confident that the baby and I will be just fine through all this. I lost 140lbs (or 71%excess weight) already and he says that most his patients lose that much by a yr or 18months and then he would give them the ok to TTC. so when are you due? Im May 28

When I was preggo with my 2nd I had a HUGE belly omg I could kill a man with one swipe from that thing lol. However when he was born he only weighed 6lbs 4oz soo big belly doesnt mean big baby and vise versa. each pregnancy is different and it could also have to do with the placment of your placenta too cause with my 1st it was right out in front so I didnt look as big with him(at least thats what my OB told me). He was born 5wks early so idk if he would have been big or small if I made it to my due date.

well maybe its true that you get almost opposite pregnancies when your carrying boy/girl. I have 2 boys and they were pretty similar pregnancies. I will have to see if this one proves to be more different as time goes on. So far it has been quite the opposite. Hate all sweet tastes, always tired, M/S out the wazzoo, havent been too emotional (I was crying almost everyday with my boys), sooo much more irritable! lol

Man alive I do not remember being this tired with my other 2 pregnancies! I need a nap almost every day and I am still head bobbing by 4pm. could this be from not getting enough calories I average about 1200 and have been trying to get 80-100g of protien. what else can I do to get some more energy??

My sisters have birthdays in June (6th and 18th) I dont think it ever bothered them they usually each got a big bday party..
My bday is dec 15 so only ten days away from christmas I always felt a little robbed cause I got alot of combo christmas/bday gifts and small parties cause everyone was busy with Christmas stuff. oh well..
My 2nd was actaully born on his Grandmas bday (Oct 20) and it was funny cause I had made a little joke to my hubby the night before (was having braxtons) that this baby better not be born on her bday cause we will never hear the end of it from her (kinda a monster in law) sure enough he was born the next day. she has graciously told me that she will work her bday plans around our party plans cause its more important for him to have a good bday.
This little sweet pea is due in May which is shared by my brother and sister in-law so we shall see.. its gunna be a busy month :)

lol thats hillarious! I have been obsessed with anything pumpkin pie or cinnamon roll smelling.. I just bought a TON of new glade air fresheners and I am currently sitting next to a delish smelling candle. I have no desire to take a bite out of it though and am doubtful I would even if the temptation was strong lol.
Also just my opinion I dont think its a very good idea to expose you or your bean to excessive amounts of cleaning products. they can be harmful if your contantly breathing them.

hey you had your RNY 2wks after me! I just found out I was PG on Sun (BC: timing method guess my timing was off lol) its been alot to soak in and having to switch from weight loss all about me and my new body mentality to baby mode has been much harder this time for me too. Now I have to put my weight loss on hold and worry that all I have worked so hard to acheive will unravel before my eyes. I try really hard not to put that on the baby and remember that even if I never lose another lb or gain (nooo) I will have a beautiful new baby to take my mind off of it! your about three months pg right... so should be having your real ultra sound soon. I can say that each pregnancy I fell completely in looove with my boys when I saw them for the 1st time :)

I am serously RAGING right now! the nerve of those Drs telling those poor women that they have to lose weight or no IVF!!! And to make the cut off as rediculous as 30-35 bmi.. Idk if this is just preggo hormones but I am uber pissed about that!! my bmi is 31 yet I am 165lbs wear a size 8 and have never had a comorbidiy but according to them I would be "too high of a risk" for IFV.. WHAT?!?! I had two beautifully perfect pregnancies when I was well over 250lbs with virtually zero complications to me or my babies because of my weight!! ARG!!! How dare they crush an already broken heart!! makes me want to cry :(

I am a stay at home mom. for me and DH it was really important for us to have one parent be the sole care provider. Money is tight but we always get by with the grace of God. I understand that sometimes people cant survive off of a single income and that working mommies are just as loving and caring as stay at home mommies. I was just NEVER comfortable with having someone else share my resposibility while I was gone for most of the day. There are days when I loove it and there are days when I am ready to pull my hair out! But I absolutly adore my kids and dont regret my choice to stay at home. the best advice I can give is to find mommy and baby groups such as "MOPS" so that you can get out of the house and have some much needed adult time.

Good to know Im not going crazy lol.. I swear it feels like I am 3m along already cause my whole belly is getting tighter. And I feel your pain I had really bad achy pervic pain/pressure for most of my other 2 pregnancies soo Im really hoping that I wont get that this time since I am 140lbs lighter *fingers crossed*

So for all you experienced mommies who have had a baby or two did you start "showing" earlier and earlier with each pregnancy.. cause seriously I feel like tummy town is soo bloated right now lol. I am not at all freaking out about looking fat but I swear its like my belly is already preppin for the big expansion! lol

Soo my preschooler tracted down the nastiest cold he could find his 1st week of school and has passed it along to everyone at home.. yay!
Ive been taking tylenol and slathering myself in Vics but something a tad stronger would be nice. my questian is can I take anything other than tylenol (cough meds) being pregnant and RYN.. so many rules and so little brain space to remember them in.. lol

I just got a BFP.... wow!
did not think that would happen.. wasn't TTC but I just got this funny fealing and have been nauseated all week and thought I should POAS and bingo BFP.. still kinda in shock and a little scared of the fact that I am only 8m post op. I called my ob/gyn and my surgeon and have appts scheduled for both. I cant help being worried and its alot to soak in but I am very happy about adding #3 to our family!!
on a side note I am not looking forward to my surgeon apt this Thurs cause he can be a little grumpy if your not doing things according to his plan and Im just scared Im gunna get a lecture or something.. idk

Ugh I dont know what it is but I am having some CRAZY baby fever! I have two little boys and desperately want a baby girl. I swear they are everywhere and their sweet pinkness and purpley goodness have filled my brain with nothing else! I had my IUD taken out a few months ago due to some complications with it and Im not currently using anything. I know Im still a little early out and I definately wouldnt say I am TTC but dang-it I want too!!!

For me and my hubbs I was the one who picked the names after we found out the gender and it took the rest of the pregnancy to sell him on it. My sisters and I have all biblical name and they are the most popular ones at that.. Sarah Becca Rachel Leah... I wanted biblical names too but more unique ones after having grown up knowing at least 10 different Beccas. So we chose Micah Louis and Josiah James. their middle names are names from their grandpas
