I am a Potter! I take my clay seriously!

I am a Potter. I throw and hand build with clay I have made by myself or dug up and refined by myself. I have developed my own glaze formulas from Cone 01 to Cone 10, for both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. I have stored my clay for the past eight years. When I start throwing again, my clay is going to have excellent properties! Aged clay is worth lots to me... especially if it is my own formulas! lol... Nah... I'm not conceited when it comes to potter, am I! ROFL! I only have an electric, cone 10 oxidation kiln, an electric low fire xoidation kiln, a gas-fired raku kiln, and set-ups for a sawdust kiln, a wood kiln, and a peat kiln. Unfornutaely, I can not currently use any of them because the place I am living in does not have either the capability, room or legal location to do any firing. :~( I don't even have a location to set up my wheels (I have a kick wheel and an electric wheel), spraying booth, any of my chemicals, etc. Like I said, I am a potter. I take my clay seriousl! :~) If anyone wants to talk glazes, glaze recipes, clay mixes, forms, ... anything to do with pottery, email me! We can trade pictures and stories! It's better than focusing all my time on FOOD! :~) Visit with me at [email protected] This email is soley for my pottery interests and friends.
